30th June

The 30th June sees British comedy’s fastest rising star – NISH KUMAR – come to Hounslow.

After appearances on Live At The Apollo, Have I Got News For You, Drunk Histories and almost any show on television right now, Nish is hot property. Coming off the back of a sellout UK tour and ever-growing critical acclaim, this could be one of the last chances to see him in an intimate and friendly comedy environment.

‘If you like your comedy to be intelligent, inventive, thought-provoking and delivered with a passion, urgency and enthusiasm that makes an hour feel like a fantastic ten minutes, then you’re going to love Nish Kumar’s show… a truly impressive piece of stand-up from a comic in full control of his material and onstage persona’ ★★★★★ Time Out

'With his combination of book smarts, righteous passion and sardonic wit, Nish Kumar is the Asian answer to John Oliver' ★★★★ Chortle

‘Another excellent show…. Weighty subjects, quality delivery.’ ★★★★ The List

‘Brilliantly executed…. a show that should win Kumar a lot more fans.’ ★★★★ Bruce Dessau

‘A comedian on the up…. An ingenious, witty look at identity that suggests Kumar will soon be getting known for all the right reasons.’ The Times

‘A highly polished, subtly innovative stand-up…. He nails the punchlines over and over again, thanks to taut, economical writing that puts audience pleasure firmly ahead of self-indulgence…. His is a talent worth catching up with.’ Guardian

Joining Nish is Lloyd Griffith – known for viral videos about football including an interview with Lionel Messi, regular co-host on Rob Beckett’s Rock and Roll Football on Absolute Radio as well as being the only professional choirboy comedian and the man with the most knowledge of cathedrals, Lloyd’s company is always entertaining and often educational.

Grimsby-born Lloyd regularly performs at some of the largest clubs in the UK and even some of the smaller ones too.

Singing wise, Lloyd is a professional (choral) singer and can be heard performing with the choirs of Westminster Abbey, St George’s Chapel – Windsor Castle and various other London groups. What a guy.

‘Supersub Lloyd Griffith delivered some punchy gags about growing up in Grimsby. He also revealed a jaw-dropping singing voice. Expect to hear more from Griffith’ Bruce Dessau

‘The next big thing’ FHM

'There’s no doubt about it; Lloyd Griffith is the king of the unexpected. His sense of fun is infectious, his singing voice faultless and his anecdotes are told with boundless confidence. Griffith has clearly established his own style of comedy' ThreeWeeks
